About us
Megan and Suzanne first met during the COVID pandemic. In the weeks and months that followed, Suzanne tapped into Megan’s facilitation expertise, Megan tapped into Suzanne’s communication expertise, and soon the two realised that they shared a common goal: to take the pain and frustration out of online meetings of all shapes and sizes.
As active members of the International Association of Facilitators, they knew that they were already part of a community of expert meeting organisers, but they couldn’t help thinking, “What about everybody else who runs meetings?”. They did some brainstorming to work out who aside from professional meeting organisers might need help in making online meetings better, and the list was long. It included:
- team leaders and project managers
- in-house trainers and HR gurus
- managing directors and workshop leaders
- sales teams and support staff
- researchers and students
- municipality staff and public engagement professionals
- conference organisers and management retreat hosts
In short, they realised that anyone who organises meetings might occasionally need a bit of help.
Meeting Innovators was born in 2023 to meet that need. Together, Megan and Suzanne organise free community Meetups, run affordable open courses, and produce a punchy podcast to help anyone who wants to have more useful meetings build skills and tackle challenges.
They also offer online and virtual skill-building webinars and workshops, and are happy to to chat about helping you with professional faciltation for your event, too.
